A teenage pole vaulter from Boland Athletics, Kyle Rademeyer, has shattered the national youth record by 8 centimetres at the ASA Under 18 and Under 20 Track & Field Championship at the Dal Josaphat Stadium in Paarl. Rademeyer jumped 5.30 metres and broke Valco van Wyk’s 2017 record of 5.22 metres, set at the same athletics venue. After his victory, Rademeyer said he hoped to achieve his dream of scaling 5.50 metres by the end of the year.

  1. Dit is uitstekend. Baie werk gaan in om paalspring te doen. Om die SA jeug rekord te breek is fantasties. Baie trots op die Gimmie. Harde werk word beloon. Baie geluk.
