A train motor coach has caught fire at the Cape Town station due to…

A train motor coach has caught fire at the Cape Town station due to an electrical fault. Metrorail spokesperson Riana Scott says although the fire has been extinguished, several lines will be temporarily suspended while the clean-up is underway: “An overhead electrical wire caused a short and an explosion of the high tension equipment on top of a trainstationed at platform 16. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries. The fire was put out and platforms 15 and 16 are closed until clean-up operations are complete. The incident affects Cape Flats and Kapteinsklip trains, both inbound and outbound to these areas are temporarily suspended.”

  1. Now im pretty sure something sinister or paranormal is happening at Cape Town station.. fires.. fires.. every now and then… i think the authorities that maybe must surely conduct some cleansing ceremony or hire a clairvoyant of some sort and sort this issue once and for all. Gets me thinking if the guy who was arrested last month really had anything to do with that fire that he allegedly started.. niemand…

  2. Metro-Rail/Prasa just give up now, You failed commuters 4 years back already and proved to be unreliable, unsafe, Hazardous and Extremely popular when it comes to delaying services to the areas mentioned above. If it isn’t izinyoka, it’s fires and delays. Metro-Rail stop respraying these trains and invest on upgrading the service.

    I thank you.
