After receiving a panic call from BP Heritage Park, HCW/Vetus Response Officer’s Bevin and Rodney stood of within a few minutes. Upon investigation it was learned that the panic call was for a man beating up his girlfriend across the road. The battered girlfriend gave a description of the suspect who ran across the N2 towards Lwandle. HCW/Vetus Response Officer Bevin ran after the suspect with Officer Rodney providing backup in his vehicle. They managed to make up the lead that the suspect had on them and tackled him in an open field. The suspect was arrested.
Well done to our HCW/Response Officer’s and control room operator Bernice for their rapid response to this serious incident.
