An injured fisherman has been evacuated from a fishing trawler in stormy sea conditions…

An injured fisherman has been evacuated from a fishing trawler in stormy sea conditions – two nautical miles offshore of the port of Cape Town. NSRI Table Bay station commander, Quentin Botha, says the fisherman sustained facial and arm injuries after a cable snapped while fishing deap sea, south of Cape Point. “On arrival our two NSRI rescue swimmers, the two EMS rescue technicians were transferred onto the ship and the patient in a serious but stable condition was transferred onto our sea rescue craft and brought to our base where and ER 24 ambulance has transported the patient to hospital for further treatment.”
