HER ancestors told her she must thwasa and even told her where she must go.But Sarah Maluleke (56) from Etwatwa in Ekurhuleni didn’t follow their instructions. She disobeyed the call to thwasa in Giyani, Limpopo, and went to Zimbabwe instead. Now her decision has brought her misery.Sarah told Daily Sun her life turned into a nightmare after she completed her rituals. “The ancestors turned against me.” She said stones and sand are thrown at her house at night.“The ancestors also turned people against me. They call me names and say I’m a witch.” Her daughter Tebogo Maluleke (24) fears something will happen to her mum. “I fear the ancestors might kill her or cause more problems. She wanted to make them happy, but now she’s getting punished.”Sphiwe Mahlaba from the African National Healers Association advised Sarah to start her sangoma training again. “She has to go where the ancestors told her to go. She won’t have peace of mind until she does the right thing.”
