Angry community members from Concordia in Knysna have started blockading roads and burning tyres in the area after hearing that one of the alleged killers of ANC councillor, Victor Molosi, was granted bail by the High Court in Cape Town. Former independent councillor, Velile Waxa, is one of four suspects in the murder case. He was arrested shortly after Molosi was gunned down outside his home in July last year. After Waxa’s arrest, he was removed as a councillor by the local council. Since their arrest, community members have turned out in their hundreds outside the Knysna Magistrates court to show support to Molosi’s family. The trial is set to start next week.
