The senseis and karatekas of ASKDSA display their accolades received at the recent awards function.

An atmosphere of jubilation remained prevalent at the Blue Lagoon Conference Centre as the Association of Shotokan Karate-Do South Africa (ASKDSA) hosted a prestigious awards function, recently.
At the gathering, athletes and instructors were applauded for their respective achievements.
Sensei and president of the sporting organisation, Dennis Kumarasamy, is proud of the award recipients and thanked them for bringing honour to ASKDSA .
The ‘Instructor of the Year’ award was presented to Navin Jagarath while Yakeel Maharaj received the ‘Veteran of the Year’ award.

The ‘Outstanding Development Student of the Year’ award was given to Sengezo Ngcobo while Yajna Maharaj scooped the ‘Most Improved Student of the Year’ accolade.
Winning the ‘Most Promising Student of the Year’ award was Muhammed Saib. Sanjana Maharaj bagged the award for ‘Outstanding Juvenile Student of the Year’.
Abigail Govender was delighted when she was announced as the ‘Outstanding Junior Student of the Year’.
Last, but certainly not least, Keenan Pillay received the ‘Outstanding Senior Student of the Year’ award. All recipients received high praise for their hard work and perseverance.
