The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has applied for a warrant of arrest for Gqom queen Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane.Babes Wodumo failed to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Friday.As she was supposed to appear on charges of common assault.Simelane and her three co-accused including her sister Nondumiso Simelane, gqom artist Tipcee and their friend allegedly beat Nelisiwe Zondi in March.FANS FURIOUS AS BABES PERFORMS KHONA INGANE LAY’NDLINI!Mzansi is furious with gqom queen, Babes Wodumo. This is after a video surfaced on social media of qgom singer performing Mampintsha’s new track Khona Ingane Lay’ndlini. Fans feel like Babes performing this song is a slap in the face to all those who stood by her when Mampintsha assaulted her a month ago.It is alleged that they accused her of leaking a video where Babes was seen with friends watching news and discussing the assault case against Mampintsha.Nelisiwe opened a case against the suspects in Umbilo south of Durban.KZN police spokesman Brigadier Jay Naicker previously confirmed that the suspects had been asked to go to court.MAMPINTSHA & BABES TO CROSS PATHS!MAMPINTSHA and his ex, Babes Wodumo, are expected to perform at the same gig tomorrow. They are both set to perform at Artizen Lounge in KwaMashu, north of Durban, to celebrate kwaito star Professor’s birthday. Mampintsha’s bail conditions prohibit him from interacting with Babes, as she’s the complainant in the assault case against him.
