Be seen … and be safe!

One of our patrollers raised his concerns about the number of pedestrians and cyclists coming into Somerset West early in the morning for work without any reflective gear – most of whom are just about invisible. Dark winter clothing on a dark winter morning (or evening) = little visibility!

So SWNW has purchased some high visibility reflective armbands with Velcro closure from Glow Gear in Stellenbosch to try and address this. We will give some of these away to our community – but are also making some available to purchase at R25 each (R20 cost + R5 donatation to SWNW) from our Communications Centre between 08h00 and 14h00 (153D Main Road, SW) for those of you concerned about staff or family who are out on the roads in the dark.
Note: please bring exact amount of money as we do not work with cash usually and will probably not have change 🙂

As Glow Gear says – “You won’t be seen without us!”
