Cape Town Metro Police say three suspected hijackers have been arrested in Nyanga. Metro Police spokesperson Ruth Solomons says officers attached to the Metro Police Camera Response Unit were on patrol in Hanover Park when SAPS informed them of a hijacking in Bishop Lavis. Solomons says they spotted the car in Hanover Park, but the driver refused to stop.”When members flagged the vehicle down they refused to stop and sped off. A high speed chase followed. During the pursuit, the suspect tried to force a police vehicle off the road. The vehicle was cornered in Nyanga with the assistance of SAPS. Three suspects aged 18, 19 and 25 were arrested and charged for possession of a hijacked vehicle and reckless & negligent driving.”
