Cape Town Police have apprehended a 24-year-old suspect for the brutal murder of an Irish charity worker, John Curran. Police discovered 60-year old Curran’s body at his residential complex in the CBD about two weeks ago. Curran was the director of Mellon Educate Foundation in South Africa. Police spokesperson, Noloyiso Rwexana, says the suspect was caught during a tracing operation in Bellville. Rwexana says he has been charged with murder and will appear in court soon: “Detectives followed up on leads and a suspect was arrested. The 24-year old man was arrested last night in Voortrekker Road and he is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on a charge of murder.”
