Race director Sihle Shange said both the flagship 42km and the 21km will commence at 5am from City Hall and end at the athletics track on Princess Margaret Drive in Pelham.
He said the 10km race would only start at 7am. He said for 42km route would affect Chief Albert Luthuli Street, Prince Alfred Street, Echo Road, Orthmann Road, Promed Road, Royston Road, Larch Road, Masukwana Road, Burger Street, Boshoff Street, Chatterton Road, Armitage Road, Sanctuary Road, Chase Valley Road, McCarthy Drive, Townbush Road, Hyslop Road, Old Howick Road, Victoria Road, Winston Road, Mayors Walk, Church Street and Scott Street. It would then go onto Langalibalele Road, Pine Street, Prince Alfred Street, Camps Drift, Pentrich Road, Trelawney Road, Alexandra Road, Gladys Manzi Road, Oribi Road, Washington Road, Croft Road, Isabel Beardmore, Epworth, Hutchinson, Golf Road, Lindup Road, Maud Avenue, Jesmond Road, Bisset Road, Steel Road, Haldene Road, Ritchie Road, Alexandra Road, Princess Margaret Drive, Princess Elizabeth Drive, and finishing off at the at the track.
The 21km follows a similar route, but cuts off to College Road and Balmoral Drive. Shange said the roads which would be affected would include: Chief Albert Luthuli Street, Jabu Ndlovu, Chapel Street, Victoria Road, Winston Road, Mayors Walk, Pine Street, Church Street, Scott Street, Langalibalele Street, Prince Alfred Street, Camps Drift, Topham Road, Collage Road, Alexandra Road, Princess Margaret Drive, and Princess Elizabeth Drive.
