Chatsworth detectives arrest butchery employees for theft of meat – Rising Sun Chatsworth

Two employees at a local butchery were apprehended by Chatsworth detectives for allegedly stealing a large amount of meat, over a period of time, on Tuesday.
Police held observations at the butchery before pouncing on the employees.

Cluster communications officer of the eThekwini Inner South, Cpt Cheryl Pillay said, “Both accused, aged 36 and 38, appeared in the Chatsworth Magistrates Court.”
The detective commander of Chatsworth SAPS, Col Gona Ramdass commended her team for the swift arrest.

“Police are appealing to complainants and witnesses to follow through with cases as it is pivotal towards securing a conviction. Chatsworth SAPS assures the community that all cases reported will be thoroughly investigated,” said Col Ramdass.
