CLASSROOMS AT LAST!

THE second term started on a good note at Manchimudi Primary School in Ga-Rametlwana, outside Polokwane in Limpopo. The school has received three mobile classrooms.
Daily Sun
published a story about the school on 12 March after four classrooms were destroyed by a strong wind in December 2017.
For over a year, pupils had to squeeze into a few classrooms. The deteriorating structure was a concern for the teachers and parents.SGB chairman Erick Matlala said they were happy classes will run smoothly while they awaited permanent structures.“Squeezing pupils into a few classrooms made teaching difficult and affected the school’s performances,” said Matlala.“We were worried that parents would move their children to neighbouring schools, which would have collapsed our school.”Matlala thanked the People’s Paper.Hellen Shwatle said: “As parents we are relieved our children will no longer learn under trees.”Education spokesman Sam Makondo urged pupils, teachers and the community to look after the school.
