The employees of Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa were excited to participate in the FoodForward SA Mandela Day Food Drive in Msunduze, on Thursday.
Noulundi Mzimba, the regional public affairs communications manager of Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa, opened about how Mandela’s legacy inspired Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa employees.
“Mandela Day inspired us to go over and above our usual corporate social investment initiatives in celebrating Madiba’s life and legacy. In our commitment to the fight against poverty, CCBSA gathered employees to take part the FoodForward SA Mandela Day Food Drive packing event in Msunduze,” Mzimba said.

Managing director of FoodForwardSA, Andy Du Plessis said that FoodForwardSA held its third annual Mandela Day Food Drive in partnership with Pick n Pay this year. The initiative supports 530 beneficiary organisations in their national distribution network.
“CCBSA was proud to be a part of this national initiative and to work together at the packing events with other corporates and volunteers to create a positive impact,” Mzimba concluded.
CCBSA employees will continue to implement more corporate social investment initiatives during the month of July to honour Mandela.
Among the corporate social investments initiatives to be held in the month of July, employees will also help clean-up the in Msunduze river.
