The blankets donated to the LIV Village.
Mrs Veliamma Nair from the Sector 3 Policing Forum opened her heart to the LIV Village Orphanage Home in Cottonlands when she lovingly donated blankets, recently.
The handing over of blankets was done in conjunction with Cnst Rachel Mabizela from the Social Crime Prevention unit and Brig Victor Dludla of Verulam SAPS.
The blankets were handed over to the house mothers, who care for the children at the orphanage.
Mrs Nair said, “It is with this kind gesture that I hope to aid these unfortunate children through the cold winter. To help others is the duty of all those, who are able to and I hope my gesture encourages others to also open their hearts in kindness.”
