Detectives from the Operational Command Centre in Uitenhage are hot on the heels of two armed suspects, who allegedly robbed an elderly woman and her son during a house robbery on Wednesday afternoon in Uitenhage.

“It is alleged that two unknown males approached the 52-year-old complainant, who stopped at his mother’s residence in Molteno Street, Uitenhage,” said police spokesperson, Capt Gerda Swart.

“The suspects, who were armed with a firearm and knife, threatened the complainant and they pushed the complainant inside the house.

“The suspects then searched the premises and took jewellery, cash and fled the scene in the complainant’s vehicle, a beige VW Tiguan.”

Detectives are investigating a case of house robbery and they are following up on all possible leads.

“Anyone who might be able to assist with any information, may contact SAPS Uitenhage at 041 9963438 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111.”

Police are also on the heels of suspects, who robbed visiting Capetonians in Addo.
