Domestic worker assaulted, tied up in Phoenix house robbery

A Phoenix home was ransacked and robbed by three unknown men, who stormed into the home on Saturday evening while the occupants were away.
The attackers assaulted and tied up the domestic worker who was alone on the premises at the time.

Communications officer of Phoenix SAPS, Cpt Louise Naidoo, said, “It is alleged that at 8pm when the homeowners were out and their maid was alone at the premises, three unknown males entered the home. Two of the men had firearms.”
They strapped her hands together with a cable tie and demanded to know the location of valuables.

The suspects ransacked the house and took three safes, a laptop and two cellphones.
One of the safes contained firearms belonging to the homeowner.

“The other safes had personal documents. No cash was taken,” she added.
A case of house robbery was opened and is currently being investigated by Phoenix SAPS. No arrests have been made yet.
