Eskom says messages that are being circulated on social and digital media indicating that…

Eskom says messages that are being circulated on social and digital media indicating that there will not be electricity in South Africa are false and misleading. The hoax message reads: “Please note that there won’t be electricity tomorrow from 06:00-12:00 through out the whole of South Africa. Please pass on the message and make everyone aware.” Eskom says loadshedding is controlled and managed on a rotational basis for a period of between two or four hours at a time, depending on the schedule that the customer is on, on a particular day. It must be noted that loadshedding is implemented as a measure of last resort to protect the national electricity system. Customers are advised to keep checking their loadshedding schedules on the Eskom (http://loadshedding.eskom.co.za) or their local municipal websites. Eskom customers can also contact our customer contact centre on 0860 037 566.

  1. So what exactly is the story? First it was a shortage of coal then it was the storm in Mozambique now it is a diesel shortage!!!!!!!

  2. Eskom moet die mense se elektriese toestelle se geld terugbetaal wat so ingee as gevolg van ‘loadshedding’. Hoekom moet ek my versekering daarvoor gebruik? Pateties man! Asof ons nie genoeg betaal vir krag nie.
