An exciting scene from last year’s glamorous grandmother contest.
The Phoenix Child and Family Welfare Society extends a special invite to all senior citizens and senior citizen clubs to attend their annual senior Citizens party, which promises tons of fun and joy.
The event will take place as part of the Phoenix Fair at the Rydalvale Sports Grounds in Phoenix on May 26 from 10am to 2pm.
The programme includes a number of events including a fancy dress parade: one individual from each club needs to be nominated by their co-ordinator in order to enter the parade.
Names need to be submitted to the Phoenix Child and Family Welfare Society as soon as possible. Participants need to be 60 years and older.

The programme also includes a talent contest: one member needs to be identified by their co-ordinator to enter this content.
Again, the name of the individual nominated must be submitted as soon as possible. Participants must be 60 years and older.
For the glamorous grandmother/ grandfather contest, an individual from each club also needs to be nominated by their respective co-ordinator. Contestants must be 60 years and over once again.
Kindly note that delicious vegetable meals will be provided. Free sugar and pressure testing will be provided as well.
Entry is free to senior citizens. Senior citizen clubs as well as senior citizens from the public are welcome to attend.
