Thousands of patients have been left in limbo following an alleged arson attack that gutted a large section of a clinic at Nomzamo near Strand in the Western Cape.
The fire caused extensive damage to the main structure, as well as outbuildings that house the TB and HIV clinics. It could take months before services are restored. The area has been rocked by protests over land and housing in recent months.
