Firefighters have worked through the night in an effort to contain a blaze that broke out on the slopes of the Paarl Rock Mountain in the Boland. Three helicopters were dispatched to help firefighters on the ground to cover a large area. The team consists of 40 firefighters who have been battling with strong winds to get the fire under control. There has been no reports of any properties being in danger and no evacuations. Firefighters from the Drakenstein, Cape Winelands and Stellenbosch Municipalities are deployed on the scene.
