A reunion of former school teachers and pupils of Woodlands High School was held recently.
Teachers and pupils from afar field as Johannesburg and Durban attended. Two professors and a doctor of education were among those who attended the special celebration.
The highlight of the reunion was the guest of honour, Maths whiz, Siva Naidoo, who is now a resident of Auckland in New Zealand.
The reunion was well attended with teachers and pupils rekindling relationships after many years.
The meeting began with a meet and greet which took place with much laughter and tears of joy being shared among the guests.

The highlight was the address of the guest speaker, his donation and presentation of a floating shield to the deputy principal of his former school, Sunderasen Naidoo.
The shield is to be awarded annually to a junior pupil, who has excelledover the years under trying circumstances.
The award includes school fees, uniforms and a scientific calculator which will be presented to the deserving pupil annually.
The shield is in loving memory of Naidoo’s dear wife, Kay. The birthdays of Deena Pillay and Siva Naidoo were also celebrated.
