Four suspects will appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrates Court, facing charges of murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, after they were arrested following a murder that was committed at Jabula Road in the KwaMashu Hostel, last week.

Provincial police spokesman, Lt Col Thulani Zwane said, “It is alleged that the victim, 37-year-old Sibusiso Zulu, was in his room at the hostel when he was approached by the armed suspects.”
The victim was shot and killed in the room.
The suspects allegedly took his property before they fled the scene in his Toyota Corolla as a getaway vehicle. Lt Col Zwane added that police were conducting regular patrols in the area where they were informed of the shooting.
“They immediately responded and the description of the vehicle used by the suspects, was provided to them. In less than an hour, the police officers spotted the said vehicle at a service station at Dube Village, Inanda and the suspects were arrested,” he added.
The suspects were found in possession of an unlicensed pistol with 12 live rounds.

The arrested suspects were also found in possession of eight suspected stolen cellphones, an identity book as well as credit cards, which were taken from the victim.
