Benoni Flying squad came upon a double cab bakkie being stripped at a house in Rhodesfield on Wednesday after it evaded police members earlier.
Four suspects were arrested at the premises on Lightning Street and a large amount of cash was also recovered.
According to W/O Grant Giblin, spokesperson for Benoni Flying Squad, Sgt Jaco Powell and Const Denovin Norman, who were posted on the R21, received information from a tracking company about a white
Toyota double cab, stolen in Pretoria, headed in the direction of Kempton Park.

“The suspects and bakkie managed to elude police members all the way into Rhodesfield. At around 4.20pm members caught up with them on Lightning Street,” Giblin said.
The suspects were already stripping the interior and engine compartment. One suspect was found in possession of a large amount of cash and claimed he was there to purchase the vehicle.
All four were arrested on the spot and the vehicle and money seized.
The suspects, aged 35 to 40 years, will appear in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court facing charges of theft and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
