Elderly residents had fun at the programme.

The Verulam Day and Frail Care Centre held a special Valentine’s Day programme in honour of the elderly, recently.
Manager at centre, Fathima Khan, said the programme serves to comfort and entertain the elderly, reminding them of the love that they have.
The programme was compered by DJ Alan Chetty from Lotus FM, who made the programme a fun and memorable one as he got everyone dancing from the start.

Lunch was served at the event. The elderly were also treated to games and prizes, a photo booth, musical items and much more.
Khan said the programme was a huge success.
“The centre thanked those who took time to support and assist with the event. The event was made possible with strong support from DJ Alan Chetty (Lotus FM) as compere, Rahul Brijnath (an actor from the current screen movie 3 Days to go), Advocate Theasan Pillay and his mum with the sponsorship of the South Coast Photo Booth – Kishan Baijnath and team, Carlos who sang so beautifully for us, Philip and team for the sound and music, Annie Govender for the gifts, as well as management, staff and volunteers of VDFCC,” she said.
