For the first time in South Africa, there will be a stage production featuring dance and music that will trace the history and heritage of Gujarat blended with modernity.
Gujarat is a colourful state in India that boasts vibrant cultures and religions. Rich in tradition, Gujarat is home to a multitude of captivating, bright and vibrant festivals that inspire and excite. Both young and old participate in these beautiful events.
Gujurat’s ancient culture, beliefs and customs are still practised by more than 60 million people in India and abroad.
South Africa boasts the largest Indian population outside India and Gujaratis comprise a significant percentage.
With a brilliant blend of arts, culture and lifestyle, ‘Gujarat, My Heritage’ will celebrate what being a Gujarati is all about.
