Nov 27, 2019Port Elizabeth – Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case in which a 39-year-old security guard was shot and killed in his home on Tuesday morning, at about 08:30.He has been identified as Bheki Mjanyelwa.”This followed after he was also shot and wounded in his chest on 18 September – two months ago,” said police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge.”In that incident he and his colleage were picking up a fellow member for work when unknown suspects opened fire on them while they were waiting in a parked bakkie.”He had only returned from hospital about a week ago.”Capt Beetge said that on Tuesday morning, his wife was busy washing him when an unknown armed suspect entered their home and forced him to kneel, after which he was shot once behind the head.”The suspect then fled the scene without taking any valuables.”Eastern Cape SAPS Provincial Organised Crime Investigation team have taken the case and any person with information that could assist police with this investigation can contact Lt Colonel Willie Mayi at 082 697 5914 or 08600 10111.Follow more RNEWS articles, subscribe to our YouTube channel and for breaking news LIKE us on Facebook.
