Have you ever experienced physical or sexual violence committed by a child?
Given the often difficult and sensitive nature of violence, many victims resist reporting the incident and numerous offences go undetected. This happens even more frequently with victims of violence committed by children. Consequently, victims of child-perpetrated violence often do not have a space to tell their story. A study is therefore being conducted on the experiences, perception and lives of victims of child-perpetrated violence. If you have experienced physical or sexual violence committed by a child and would like the opportunity to share your story as a part of this research, please contact Alexa Mostert via firstname.lastname@example.org or on 071 163 7888.
This research is being conducted for the purpose of a Masters degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. The findings of the study will allow for a greater understanding of child-perpetrated violence in South Africa and will also provide a foundation for future research in the area.
