Hyannis female allegedly spray painted homeless woman and threw her wheelchair over a fence before assaulting others at the Ocean Street Docks…

HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – A Hyannis female is accused of spray painting a homeless woman and throwing her wheelchair over a fence before going to the Ocean Street Docks where she is accused of a second assault and battery.

As you will hear in the following HN Video, last evening, shortly before midnight, Barnstable Police Patrol Officers responded to the area of the Ocean Street Docks for what was initially described as fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a small group of males and females before arresting an intoxicated Hyannis female who was located nearby. The Hyannis woman was transported to BPD Headquarters to be booked on the charge of Assault & Battery. It’s uncertain whether or not she knew the individuals she had just been in a confrontation with…

A short while later, officers spoke with a handicapped homeless woman who told them she had been attacked. It turned out her alleged attacker was the same woman they currently had in one of their jail cells on the charge of Assault and Battery on a separate individual at the Ocean Street Docks.

According to sources, before the incident at the Ocean Street Docks, the suspect had been in the parking lot of Cromwell Courts on Barnstable Road, where she is accused of getting into a confrontation with the homeless woman. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly left and came back with a can of spray paint. She then allegedly spray painted the homeless woman before taking her wheelchair and throwing it over a fence into the backyard of a residence on Spring Street.

A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to photograph the wheelchair and other evidence…

… officers then returned the wheelchair to the woman who had been covered with spray paint.

It is believed both alleged attacks are completely separate incidents…

[DEVELOPING – No further details available at the time of this report.]
