Lauren Pentasaib brought honour to her school.
Seventeen-year-old Lauren Pentasaib, a pupil from Northlands Girls High School, matriculated with an outstanding seven distinctions.
Pentasaib, who is one year younger than her matric peers, achieved an average of 88 percent, 81 percent in English Home Language, 89 percent in Afrikaans First Additional Language, 87 percent in Mathematics, 81 percent in Life Orientation, 92 percent in Information Technology, 90 percent in Life Sciences, and 95 percent in Physical Sciences.
The Phoenix resident also scored 86 percent for an advanced Mathematics programme through the Independent Examination Board (IEB).

Pentasaib not only excelled in her academics, but in extra curriculum activities.
The talented drummer was placed second in the Toastmasters competition in the category of impromptu speech.
She is also a recipient of the dramatics scrolls at the Drama Festival.
The charismatic lass enjoys spending her time volunteering at the Domino’s Baby Home. Her love for caring has influenced her to pursue medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
