POLOKWANE – Loadshedding has moved from stage 2 to stage 4, says Eskom.
“Due to continued pressure on the national grid, Eskom will implement stage 4 loadshedding from 13:00 and is likely to continue till 22:00 this evening,” a statement read.

The reason for the move is due to the power utility losing six additional generating units which have put additional strain on the system.
Stage 4 loadshedding requires 4 000MW to be rotationally shed, nationally.
“We continue to appeal to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period,” Eskom concluded.
