Jan 8, 2020Port Elizabeth – Detectives at SAPS Kabega Park, in Port Elizabeth, are appealing to anyone, who can assist in identifying and tracing the next of kin of a man, who drowned in Kini Bay in November 2019.According to police information, on 7 November 2019, at about 06:00, workers cleaning the beach spotted a black male approx. 30 years old walking into the sea in Kini Bay and he never came out.”At about 11:00, the same day, his body washed ashore,” said police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu.”At the time of the drowning, he was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.”It was established through enquiries in the area that the deceased may be a vagrant as he was seen often walking in Seaview and Kini Bay.”Col Naidu said that anyone, who may know him or his next of kin is asked to contact D/W/O Bertus Blom at SAPS Kabega Park on 082 303 0064 or 041 397 6833 or the nearest police station.”An inquest docket is open.”Follow more RNEWS articles, subscribe to our YouTube channel and for breaking news LIKE us on Facebook.
