Load shedding at the High Court in Cape Town has resulted in a slow…

Load shedding at the High Court in Cape Town has resulted in a slow start to sentencing procedures for convicted wife killer Jason Rohde. People are unable to gain entry to the court. Court proceedings were set to start at ten this morning, however the Court room is fairly dark. Rohde has also been taken back down to the holding cells as the court awaits further instructions. Rohde was convicted last month after murdering his wife Susan at the Spier Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch in 2016. Her lifeless body was found in a bathroom of their hotel room. The couple was attending a work function at the time of her death. The media has been told that proceedings will only resume once the power is restored.
