Authorities at the area where the body was discovered.
A case of murder is being probed after the battered body of a 38-year-old man was discovered at the Stanmore Park in Phoenix, earlier today.
Security officers were called out to contain the crime scene following the grisly find.

Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios said members of the public informed an armed response officer of the finding via a local community crime WhatsApp Group at about 5: 15am.
Their officer responded to the scene along with security officers from other local companies where they found the severely battered body of the man lying in a pool of blood.
“A blood-stained wooden baseball bat was found lying next the body,” Mathios said.

The officers contained the scene to prevent curious passers from getting too close and contaminating it, according to Mathios.
Phoenix SAPS were alerted to the incident and arrived to take control of the crime scene.
