Glenhaven Secondary School principal, Philip Reddy, announced this week that the Billy Nair Circuit will be conducting two intervention programmes in mathematics for its grade 12 pupils.
The objective of the interventions is to support pupils, who are underachieving in mathematics and building their capacity.
The first programme will take place on Saturday, September 15 (maths paper one) and Sunday, September 16 (maths paper two) to prepare pupils for the preparatory exam.
Following this, a second programme will take place to prepare pupils for the National Senior Certificate Exam.

On Saturday, October 20, pupils will write an exemplar paper one followed by a review. On Saturday, October 27, paper two will be dealt with as per paper one.
Reddy said that expert tuition will be provided by former Buffelsdale Secondary principal and AMESA chairman, Vishnu Naidoo. All intervention takes place at Glenhaven Secondary School Hall from 800am to 2:30pm.
A request is made that pupils bring their own stationery, refreshments, maths sets. Transport arrangements also need to be sorted.
Billy Nair schools are requested to send teachers with a school register to manage their pupils.
SEM, Mr S A Chetty complimented the organisers of this inaugural intervention and hoped that pupils will capitalise on this free extra tuition. Furthermore, he extended the invitation also to schools in Verulam and Tongaat, which fall outside the Billy Nair Circuit.
