Members of the the Democratic Alliance’s Federal Executive are meeting to discuss the party’s…

Members of the the Democratic Alliance’s Federal Executive are meeting to discuss the party’s performance in the recent elections. The opposition party’s support declined by one-point-four-six percentage points in the national ballot. The DA also lost its position as official opposition in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and the North West. There’s speculation that DA leader Mmusi Maimane’s future is on the line after the party lost electoral support across the country. The meeting will also discuss the governance of the Western Cape in which the DA won back majority support and the deployment of party officials to the sixth Parliament.

  1. So, what exactly did go wrong, loosing support to both left/right, loosing out in not beeing the opposition in 4 provinces, etc? Is it possible to be so out-of-touch with the voting public? This sounds like a major problem.

  2. Infighting with absolutely no direction caught up. Impossible to run our country right now….

  3. Current strategy of dividing to conquer did not work. Exclusive politics do not work.
As long as the DA do not see this they will remain in the downward spiral.
