Philile Mhlongo in happier times.
A 30-year-old Ntuzuma woman, who was last seen by her colleagues boarding an e-hailing cab, was found dead with gunshot wounds to her head and body in the Isipingo area, last week.
Philile Mhlongo (30) was described by her close friends as a loving and kind soul, who was interested in fashion and beauty.

When she was reported missing, the family and friends of the Carlton Hair Academy alumni, took to social media in an effort to find leads in locating her.
Provincial police spokesman, Lt Col Thulani Zwane revealed that a body was found in Isipingo.
Lt Col Zwane further explained that the found body was that of Mhlongo’s.
It was only on Monday when the deceased’s family was informed and later identified the body at the mortuary.

He assured that a murder case had been opened and that the police are working to bring to light the murder suspects and their motive.
The Ntuzuma resident leaves behind a five-year-old daughter. Mhlongo was laid to rest on Saturday in Ntuzuma.
