The scene was cordoned off by police.
Police and security forces are working tirelessly to establish the motive behind a drive-by shooting in the Verulam area, which claimed two lives, and to also arrest the brazen perpetrators, who fled the scene.
The incident occurred on Todd Street on Sunday morning.

According to a report issued by Reaction Unit South Africa, their operations centre received multiple calls from the public, who reported numerous shots being fired at a VW Golf 7.
Reaction officers were immediately dispatched to the scene and upon arrival, found the stationary vehicle on the centre of the road.
The rear passenger sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died in the vehicle.
The driver and front passenger were critically injured and were stabilised by medics before being transported to hospital, where the driver later died.
“Witnesses reported seeing a blue Toyota Corolla and a silver Mercedes Benz driving up to the VW Golf 7. The occupants of both vehicles fired a volley of shots with high calibre rifles at the VW Golf before they sped off,” the report pointed out.

Seventeen spent rifle cartridges were found at the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
