A number of police officers at Verulam SAPS have earned promotions to new posts in the new year.
Cpt Bharat Ramsuran and Cpt Mpumelelo Khumalo from Verulam SAPS, as well as Cpt Tholmumuzi Mzimela from Hillcrest SAPS, were promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel and will be performing their duties as relief commanders at the community service centre.
Lt Col Ramsuran.
Cpt Andries Motioung who had come from the Durban Central Vispol Rapid Rail Unit, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel to the Crime Prevention Unit and he intends to ensure the Verulam policing area sees a reduction in crime.
Lt Col Nsele.
Cpt Jabulani Ndaba who had come from Kwambonambi SAPS was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel to the detective branch and will ensure all dockets are properly investigated.

Client feedback will be given to all cases that are being investigated.
Lt Col Mzimela.
Cpt Johannes Nsele who had come from the eThekwini Outer North cluster was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel at the station’s management information centre and will ensure the station will be guided by the operational plan, especially when the station is not performing to its required standards.
Lt Col Ndaba.
Personal principal officer, Debra Sibisi, who had come from Umlazi SAPS was promoted to the rank of captain to the Human Resources Department and will ensure members will have the necessary skills and training in their performance of their duties.
Lt Colonel Khumalo.
Cpt Henry Kisten, communications officer of Verulam SAPS, said, “The station commander, Brigadier Victor Dludla, welcomed the promoted officers who had come from the external stations and congratulated all the promoted officers. He said that he had trust and belief in these officers in taking the station forward in terms of service delivery.”
