A man was robbed just as he entered the Irene Lodge on Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidoo said the man had come to the venue from the O.R Tambo international airport.
“He was robbed off his wallet with cash, luggage and laptop,” he said.
Naidoo said it was unclear whether the man had been followed from the airport.

“He did travel from the airport, but there is no evidence that suggests that he had been followed from there,” he said.
The Marriot International group, under which the hotel falls, said it was very concerned by the incident and was working with the police in the investigation.
“The hotel is doing what it can to assist our guests and make them as comfortable as possible,” said spokesperson Sarah Walker-Kerr.
The police are investigating a case of armed robbery.
