The Northern Phoenix Hindu Temple celebrated Bhagwan Krishna’s birth on the auspicious day of Janmashtami with the rendering of bhajans.
Pundit Ganesh Dutt Lekhwar, the resident priest, gave insight into Bhagwan Krishna and recited the Geetha.
Dances and plays were performed by the youth of the Phoenix Hindu Temple Society, directed by Shashika Dhurgaduth.

Chairman, Akesh Jeenarayan, thanked the committee and members of the temple for their commitment and for making Geetha week a success.
Jeenarayan also thanked the community for their kind donations and attending throughout the week in large numbers to make Janmastami a success.
He added that the temple has Saathsangh every Tuesday. Those who wish to join are welcome.
