It’s a big week student at the University of the Western Cape with over 3000 of them graduating in various disciplines. One of them will be getting a Masters in Nuclear Physics cum laude and as a young black woman, this is not something you see very often.
Senamile Masango has a come a long way and has been breaking new ground for African women in science. We caught up with her 7 months ago as she was at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, known as CERN that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. She was part of the first African-led experiment at the prestigious institution and the only African Woman.
Senamile Masango joins us via Skype from Cape Town.
