COCAINE AND TIK BUST IN MASIPHUMELELE

Ocean View : Our endeavours to fight crime which may threaten the safety and security of the community yielded success last night where crime operations were conducted by Ocean View Saps Crime prevention unit which led to the arrest of a 34 year old female for charges relating to dealing in drugs.
Earlier the evening the police received information that drugs were being sold from an address in Masonwabe Street, Masiphumelele. The police then monitored the house and saw some suspicious activity at the premises. The police then waited for the opportune moment to search the premises and when the police swooped, they found one female suspect alone at the premises. The police searched the premises and found 832 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of R 375 232.00, 1.572 kgs of tik with an estimated street value of R 62 880 as well as 53 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R 2650. The suspect was charged and is expected to appear in the Simonstown magistrates court today.
The station management wishes to thank the public for the tip off as well as the good work of the crime prevention unit. This is one of the largest recoveries of drugs in the area in recent memory.
