ONE KILLED IN M4 INFERNO
A driver and single occupant of a light motor vehicle was killed when his vehicle burst into flames on the M4 early Saturday morning.
Emergency Services arrived on the scene of the south bound carriageway of the Ruth First Highway in the vicinity of the Umgeni River bridge, to find a light motor vehicle well alight.
Reports from the scene suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn several times before leaving the roadway and bursting into flames.
Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do to assist and the single occupant of the vehicle was declared deceased on the scene.
The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
