Gonum Moodley and Salogambal Govender alongside other members of the Tongaat Panthers Athletic Club, who joined race in Mt Edgecombe.

May 12 was Mother’s Day but it didn’t stop Panthers grannies, Gonum Moodley (73) and Salogambal Govender (75) from doing what they love most.
The fit and lovely women participated, together with 19 other team members, in the ICE Promotion 21km and 10km race in Mt Edgecombe.
Govender said, “We love walking and being part of the club and taking part in these races as it keeps us fit and in good health.”

Moodley explained, “We love being part of the Panthers family and we hope that more youngsters can join in and enjoy the benefits.”
Members are reminded that the 10th leg of the Thinnys League Challenge will take place on May 26 from 6am.
The youth development programme continues every Wednesday at 4am from the Belvedere pool parking.
