Phoenix drug accused appear in court

Three men, who were apprehended for drug dealing and drug possession in the Phoenix area, appeared in court, recently.
The accused were arrested in two separate disruptive operations conducted by the Hawks from the Durban Organised Crime Investigation Unit, Crime Intelligence and Durban Metro Police.

The first accused, a 40-year-old, was arrested at Bridgevale Crescent on Thursday.

He was found in possession of 396 rock cocaine and 30 mandrax tablets to the street value of about R159, 400.
He appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on January 11.
On Friday, a 22-year-old and 23-year-old were apprehended at Hartside Place in Phoenix.

They were found in possession of 150 mandrax and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of R21, 900.
They both appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
