The winner of third prize in the junior category, Wasim Ramatulla flanked by his proud senior team mates.
The Solly M Sports Crescent Challenge, which was held over the weekend, was indeed a resounding success. The sporting event was proudly hosted by the Crescent Sporting Club.
The weather was cool, which was conducive for road running, as hundreds of runners from various athletic clubs took to the scenic route of the city of Durban as they challenged the 10km event at a fast pace.
Running sensation, Wasim Ramatulla of the Phoenix Villagers Athletic Club took to the podium, scooping third prize in the junior category as he clocked in a brilliant time of 44: 23, running at a pace of four minutes and 26 seconds per km.

PVAC are extremely proud of Wasim, who is an inspiration to the youngsters.
The race started at Masabalala Yengwa Avenue, outside Kingspark Athletics Stadium (Durban). Free T-shirts were presented to the first 500 entries.
Prize money was awarded for the top runners in each category and for the first three walkers.
The management of PVAC extend their congratulations to all participating athletes and all role-players for hosting a successful event.
