Please make sure your neighbourhood watch (note NEIGHBOURHOOD) is registered with the Community Police Forum (CPF)
It’s the right thing to do.

The Somerset West Community Police Forum is busy organising training sessions for the various Neighbourhood Watches in the Somerset West region.

The training sessions will equip our hard working volunteers with the right knowledge in order to keep them safe while out on their patrols. These sessions are also aimed at uniting the various NHW’s and creating a strong bond between the patrollers with the goal of all working together with SAPS in order to create a safer place for our communities.

The Chairpersons of the various Neighbourhood Watches are asked to register their patrollers for the training sessions by emailing coordinator@somersetwestcpf.org.za

The training will only be given to police cleared patrollers from CPF registered Neighbourhood Watches in Somerset West.

It’s time to unite and work together in the fight against crime.

  1. We have had a few people coming to us saying that they have been told that they have to be registered with DOCS to be able to be a patroller.
So to clarify….. no individual patroller, street watch group, block watch group or neighbourhood watch area has to register or be registered with DOCS.
