A MAN and two women were arrested in Pritchard Street, Joburg on Friday after a number of job seekers had fallen victims to their scam.They were caught receiving an amount of R300 from an unsuspecting job seeker.They are being held at Joburg Central Police Station for theft under false pretences.JMPD spokesman Wayne Minnaar warned the public about a fake advert currently circulating on social media. The advert offers a trainee programme in the JMPD. Interested candidates are promised training, which includes carrying a firearm.Minaar said: “The JMPD officers received a complaint from three young people who said they had each paid R300 to three people for jobs but did not get receipts. The officers then went to the suspects’ office and caught them red-handed as they were about to take R300 from another victim.” Minaar said the suspects had a fake SARS document and a fake company registration certificate.
